So… Balram, who?

I'm from Tamil Nadu, a state in southern India known for its rich culture and magnificent temples. Although I studied engineering, my heart was always in art. From a young age, I loved painting, sketching, and creating things, and I was always fascinated by how creativity could bring ideas to life.

That passion led me to graphic design and eventually into UI/UX and product design. Over the years, I've found my purpose in solving complex problems, simplifying user experiences, and designing products that are not only visually engaging but also intuitive, accessible, and impactful. Today, I enjoy turning complex ideas into meaningful digital experiences that people genuinely enjoy using.

Beyond Design

When I'm away from the screen, you'll usually find me playing football, swimming, travelling, or exploring new technologies. Football has been a big part of my life, teaching me teamwork, discipline, resilience, and the importance of continuous improvement.

🥇 1st Place Winner - SYSrupt Hackathon 2023

Our team, Orion Ensemble, won 1st place in Light & Wonder's annual SYSrupt 2023 internal hackathon for developing an innovative social gaming experience for the Player Loyalty platform.

As the sole Product Designer on the team, I led the product from concept to prototype—shaping the product vision, defining the user experience, and designing the complete application interface. Working closely with engineers, I transformed a complex idea into an intuitive, engaging solution that was recognized for its innovation.

Outcome: The winning concept was later granted a U.S. patent, recognizing the originality and innovation behind the solution.
